I ran across this 1993 G-Class in MD while hunting for other, slightly less expensive, expo worthy vehicles. No affiliation.

Its a swiss military G wagen on a pre 1986 chassis built in Germany for a private customer in America. I am going to look at it in two weeks. I'll be sure to inform you all of it.

To hell with a J8!! Gimme one of these instead! I saw a simliar SWB conversion a while back on e-bay. Just out of curiosity, who does these conversions?

The one on eBay was done by the WOLF Factory for Riverhouse Mini. It was not as sophisticated of a build as this tan LWB G. WOLF builds *MOST* of the German Military G Wagens. This one is special because of its 6 speed manual transmission, variable vain turbo and restored to new body, chassis, hutchinson beadlock wheels..etc - it's a very nice set up.

This one was done by Hellgeth - the price is accurate for the work performed. There is a lot of R&D associated in a build like this and the parts are not cheap.
