What is the metric equivalent to a 33x10.50 r15? I have a 16 inch rim and i want the closest tire to that size because i like the looks and want a skinnier tire because im tired of getting mud slung on me and up in my jeep when my doors and top are off. Its red mud and its a pain to clean up. Because my jeep is a daily driver and i try to keep it nice. I have a 285/75 R16 now with a 2.5 inch lift. I want a skinnier tire with out going too much lower and not too much taller. Let me know what yal think. Thanks.

Let's do the math.

10.5 * 25.4 = 266 . Let's call it 265

The original is 33 inches high, which is 838cm. To get the sidewall height we have to subtract the rim from that .
33 -16 * 25.4 = 431.8. Divide it by two (for the two sidewalls involved in the overall height) = 215.9.

So what fraction of 265 is that for the sidewall?

265 * x = 215.9

x = 215.9/265

= 81.

So the absolutely closest is 265/80R16 (if you can even find that from any manufacturer)

Or, like ipat30 said.
