Micro Locks

As anyone installed one of these to help prevent a vehicle from rolling while using a winch?

Work around your truck with confidence that it won't move.

■For use on trucks with a dual brake line system, the Dual Lock locks fluid in your two brake lines simultaneously and prevents your truck from rolling.
■If a drop in brake pressure is detected, two built-in pressure warning switches sound the horn alerting you to check your brakes and/or re-engage the Dual Lock.
■Includes a basic assortment of brake fittings and instructions.

I have a Hurst line lock installed on my FJ40. Althought it was designed for drag racing, it works great for winching.

in my experience, i have trouble with traction and keeping the tires from sliding, not with the brakes not being able to keep the tires locked.

FWIW It's "Mico Lock", no r in it.

A friend has one in his front brake circuit. Between it and a truly functioning parking brake he can lock up all four tires while out of the truck supervising the winching job. If he slides during the winching, he just 'digs in' a little with 4-Lo in reverse.

Yes, I meant winching out another vehicle, not your own. At times the e-brake is not enough to hold the winching vehicle. It is easy when you have a co-pilot to depress the brakes, but sometimes I have been short handed and would like to lock all 4 brakes.
