Hello

i am new here.

I am living in Uk but originally i am from Poland

i have mitsubishi l200 k77 ( Thailand import) it came to me with 2.8 NA engine ( diesel)

its manual all in good nick fully serviced etc. i did use it for 1.5 year for work and now its just parked and waiting to be used.

so question is what do you recommend to do with it and what kind of mods will be nice.

i am looking to use it to go fishing/ shooting/ camping perhaps when my son is bit older ( he is 3 now ) bit of expedition etc.

any ideas or suggestions please.

its unobtainable here in u.s. but this rig looks like a sport model to me or a pickup of which i would be really truly envious of what u have there.
dig through here see what u can find for mods. that would apply to ur rig. your better off on the shogun u.k. sites though, for they might have more to recommend to u.
really like that truck

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Mods I recommend, gears and aggressive tires, armor and install a locking diff if you plan to get into some rough stuff offroad. Nice looking rig though dude.

For me I'd be looking at forced induction first. The 4m40 without a turbo? Ouch. Add an intercooler as well, and your truck will wake up from the naturally aspirated sleep it's been in and show you some good times! You should be able to find a pajero with the complete setup over there.

I wonder if the motor was swapped?... I'm pretty sure all the third gen Strada/Triton/L200s came turbo-intercooled. You even have the hood duct.

Toast ( gear what do you mean by that)

rear has LSD and after changing oil for amsoils for LSD diffs its completely different beast.
and yest there will be some more under body armor added.

Rattle&thump

it is non official import from Thailand they were fitted over there with 2.8 4m40 NA and apparently scope on the hood was tohere not for intercooler but to help ad some more cool air.
also most of the drive train is pajero/montero/shogun ( gear box and back axle)

i was thinking about fitting snorkel kit with forward facing intake and removing ( dont know exactly how to call it ) that big plastic pre engine chamber . it is fitted after air filter and just before engine.
my friend mechanic said its just pre collector air chaimber for noise reduction. there is no pipes or valves going from it or to it.

or bite the bullet and think about engine swap like 4m40 2.8 TD or V6 petrol.
or 1 jz toyota :D

can any one tell me did any Mitsubishi come with front dif locks aparently v6 3l petrol models of pajero/shogun did but not sure.

no factory front locker if you want an selectable air locker up front there is the arb 110 which is a full carrier replacement or you can go with an aussie locker which is an automatic locking style locker and it only replaces the spider gears and is alot easier on the wallet.

Now for the rear mitsu does make locker and in your neck of the world the l200's may have had models that came with them best thing is buy the whole axle pull yours out roll the new one under bolt it up(use new u bolts) and don't for get to grab the air pump out of the donor. you will also find the air locking diffs in challenger, montero sport, pajero sport one of those thats found in your market all are the same just different name based on where its sold.
