gonna b fun.
can you find a replacement?
or what is your issue?

the rubber boots that are at the bottom of the shifter assembly that are attached to tha assemblies at the point where they bolt to the case are shot and allow every thing to get into the case need to be replaced. I have obtain the boots from mit. Japan yet no shop or dealers know how to remove the shift control lever. I have manuals ,diagrams etc but it is not addressed help!

the rubber boots i replaced are at the ends of the shift transfer rods that go side to side . these rods transfer the shift command from the hand held shifter to the shifter on t case and trans.
that is the only boot i am familiar with. i guess i'm not much help at all.
unless you can be a bit more specific and it stops raining here long enough for me to crawl under and look at mine to see if i cant be more help.
