Moab repeaters?

Rusty - the 440 repeater works with very limited coverage, but both Moab 2M repeaters are currently down. I tried to hit them two days ago with no results. Ran into a "super ham" as I call the (guy with the 30 foot antenna coming off the bumper) and he confirmed they are both dead.

There is a temporary repeater being setup this week, but it's for a river based event support and wouldn't be the best to chat on.

Rusty--Program the Sinbad system before you go. I had very wide coverage from I-15 on ward. The Mt. Abajo repeater in the Sinbad network was good from Moab south to Monument Valley. It actually is an amazingly sophisticated system. I talked to several guys, got directions, restaurant recommendations etc.

There are 2 repeaters in Moab that seem mostly off line, but the lower frequency of the pair was working the day we left. The control for that repeater is at the Radio Shack store on Main Street.

The Salina repeater has good coverage on I-70 west of Moab, and Hanksville was very useful in Canyonlands, particularly if you travel in the Maze. In the Maze, we had nearly constant access to the Hanksville repeater.

Thanks for posting that link. I programmed my HT and mobile for a trip later this year.

Thanks Andy, very nice link.
One member of the group is driving down from Salt Lake City. I believe we could chat with him the whole way.
