I posted this question a while back but I'm still not sure.:(
I am looking for an HF antenna and I'm not sure what I want.
I want to use it mobile and at camp. I'm thinking about the ATAS-120A but I read some bad refiews and was wondering what are your experiences with this unit? When I'm at camp I would like to use a wire antenna with a tuner but I'm not sure what make of tuner? What do you guys use??
Pictures are welcome!!!

I use a LDG Z-11 pro tunner and also have a High Sierra's Frontier that I am planning on using when on the go.

LDG Z100 tuner, it runs off 2 9V batteries and a G5RV Jr. with a fiber glass push-up pole. Too bad My 2 bands are pretty useless at the moment. ( 10 & 6) MTR.

mobile and camp HF

I think I'm going to buy a high sierra1800 with a turbo tuner (http://www.n2vz.com/) for mobile use and a dipole with a LDG AT-1000 tuner when I'm on my camp site.
What Freq's do you guys use?
Thanks for your thoughts.

spend most of my time on 20m since it seems to be the most active... as for freq.... I normally start around 14.175 MHz and play from there. I've made contacts as far as Florida and the Virgin Islands from Vancouver BC with 100 watts and portable antennas mounted on a 6' tripod.

I'm using the EZ-Tune Controller and it is a cinch to uses. Press the button and watch the SWR meter and when you see it drop and then start to go up again just push the button the other way for a second. It takes about 90 seconds to go from 6 meters to 80 meters and once you are set on a band there will be little to no need to readjust it.
