Modification of a Tentrax for water storage

Anyone used an ARB Flexitank or similar soft bag storage solution on a trailer?

Given the layout of a Tentrax, I like the idea of mounting a soft bag down low over the axle inside the storage area of the tub since I am not fond of the various tongue weight solutions commonly employed (read Jerry cans or hard sided tanks) that sit way forward of the trailer axle.

I'm curious tho about tie down options on soft bags and how folks who have experience with a soft bag might have secured the bag. My thought is to lay it directly on the bottom of the Tentrax tub, secure it and then construct a removable shelf above it for additional storage.

Thanx in advance for thoughts or comments.

As i was reading your thread, i envisioned your solution, before you stated it. So, i agree with your solution. Having read other posts of yours, i feel certain your removable shelf will not touch the soft bag, nor will the attachments for the shelf extend into the bag area and risk perforating the bag by rubbing or puncture. Any bolts/screws should be above the shelf to minimize the risk.
Do you anticipate having to access the bag by removing the shelf, or a hose extension to a valve/faucet for fill and water use? I do not know if the Tentrax is single or double wall where you may do bolting. I think you are on the right track to keep the weight over the axle.
