1986 Coleman Chesapeake
Lifted and modified with a second 20 foot sub frame made with 2x3" square tubing, 4 foot front and rear decks to haul 2 full size ATVs, several dirt bikes, wood, gear, etc.
Nearly full tear down and remodel done by my wife and I in 2011
What was replaced;
Flooring
interior walls
cabinets with marine latches
formica counter tops
Bear Creek Canvas
beds and cushions re-uphostered
all electric wiring replaced
exterior paint is Battle Ship Grey Grizzle Grip Bed Liner
What was added;
3 gallon propane hot water heater
Exterior hot/cold shower
30 gallon fresh water tank above the axle
new water pump
black trim
water inlet
electrical inlet
LED running lights
LED tail lights
3500# axle with trail brakes (not wired up)
3x 15" wheels and 31x10.50x15 tires
Sink, stove, and propane heater were removed during the remodel
The interior ceiling was the only part of the trailer not refurbished, it is the original light brown material in good condition.
Whiffle Tree is well maintained and lubed, lift cables have been replaced as needed.
Tongue hidth sits at about 24" inches so you will need a full size truck or SUV with enough height to tow it
Trailer dry weight is approximatly 1200 pounds
This trailer has served us well. We've taken it off road several times to the desert, beach, logging trails, and sometimes just off trail. Quads have been sold and the family hobbies are changing.
