The title of that video should be "QDII and locking diffs are not the same thing".

Amazing how that traction control seems horrible compared to today's standards, but was the cream of the crop when released.

Not sure what video you watched, but that thing is awesome. Around the 10min mark where he goes dang near vertical up that rock face made me almost pee myself just watching. Just awesome!

Here is the build thread...it is a diesel from Australia and it is highly modified, but still running the stock QD2 system. I believe the QD2 system is highly underrated. Keep in mind that with the diesel and a tune it could be seeing 440lb ft of torque or more. Plus these are heavy vehicles...my WK fully loaded weighs over 6000lbs.

Impressive, but why did the camera guy have to do the 'tilt the camera to make it look like an even bigger hill' thing on all the big climbs? Unless trees and people grow/walk at 10-20* off vertical, it wasn't that steep.

I'm not saying it wasn't steep, only that the camera guy was giving it a little helping hand.

Hey....I'd be happy if my Rover could do 50% of that!
