Mods under $50

I've found that some of the most useful modifications to my trucks have been small and inexpensive. What have you done for under $50?

A few of mine -

D2 cup holders in my D1
Additional, hard-wired 12v sockets in front and rear
Fuse block under hood
Fuse Block in rear
LED Cargo lights mounted in rear of vehicle

Picking up a new DII on saturday and considering:

new headlight bulbs
additional interior lighting front and rear
12v sockets front/rear

A few of my fav's:

-RAM mount for the GPS- a little pricey, but rock solid quality.

-My drawer system for the rear was around $100, but that's only $50 per drawer. . . :ylsmoke:

-Extendable camp light on the rear tire carrier- well under budget, using a few odds and ends that I had lying around.

cargo lights

The lights I got were some cheap LED fog lights from Autozone. The ones in the link are blue, I used white.

Ran 4ga to the rear power distro, then out of that to a fuse block.

Switches were mounted on the removable panel that gives access to taillights. All wires were hidden in the paneling.

I used the provided double sided sticky foam to mount them right above the alpine windows. Using the brackets would have made them hang down too far. This gives them a more flush mount. These lights are very skinny, so they hide well up there. Reach around, flip a switch, and you have rear light. I pointed them down in an X pattern. Not the brightest lights in the world, but they provide enough light to dig around at night.

I like that... I want to add some LED lights to th einside of my 110. I have a 2008 model. I'm not a specialist in this area. Anyone know what I should do to do this sort of job myself?

Thanks in advance,

RB

its not hard at all. If lights is all you plan on adding, there is really no need for a fuse box. Just wire them directly to the battery on a switch with an inline fuse.

First step is finding yourself a good set of lights. What is available around you?

RAM mount for the GPS

yep, RAMs are great.

Blueboy has a few of these scattered around the interior for when I need to find something.
