Yea, the water shooting out was quite surprising at the velocity it came out! I honestly can admit that I was of no help on this Tacoma engine...I wasn't sure where anything was and the pieces that came out of that engine I hadn't seen before. You must remember that on a 1997 Cherokee it's simply 1. Follow wire 2. pull wire 3. unscrew spark plug. That simple.

Then again it's a Jeep and didn't die in a small water crossing, now did it? :D

No, it died 5' past the small water crossing :wings:

Stupid Costco battery...I should just upgrade it to the same as my auxiliary battery (Optima Yellowtop). I dunno, I'd probably go with a Red Top though...or whatever is on sale at the time.

Yeah optima sold out to one of the other big makers. I have one of the old ones that is still kickin very well (yellow top) but I was told not to buy a new one. Believe it or not the duralast gold is actually pretty good. I have sold used them in 3 vehicles and never a problem. Sears is a die hard dealer and while I am pretty sure that die hard still makes there own batteries they also make several private brands as does johnson controls (optima). you could probably spend a whole day researching who really makes what.

ok I take that back. found the right site fairly easy. turns out johnson controls also makes the sears diehard as well as optima and duralast. unsure when this was writen cause they list optima as it's own company which it is not.

Haha... Nice. I still think my battery that was actually purchased from a junkyard still wins that one!
