Remember me?

Bumping this one back. Just found this thread doing a search for something else. I know it was a while ago but do you guys remember passing a gold Rubicon Unlimited and a White Dodge Ram that has to back up about 100 yards to find a spot to pass? Possibly around the Cima Dome area?

Just curious - would the mojave road be doable with a moderatly lifted/modified 07 DC 2 wheel drive Tundra? It would be equiped with a winch and RTT over the bed.

I would say as long as you have another vehicle in the group, most of the way yes. I was in 2wd for the most part except for the "dry" lake and the soft sand after it. It may require a bit of the skinny pedal in some spots though, and i would never try it without a 4wd in the group just in case. There aren't many spots to anchor a winch in the sandy areas.

Id agree with that. No problem with a tundra. You may though get some striping here and there..

Never knew it snowed that night. Glad we didn't leave a day later as we stayed in Caruthers(sp) canyon the night before at around 5000ft. Wonder how much snow they ended up with.

When you passed with the 2 trailers in tow I remember thinking to myself "wow, those trailers are awesome! I want one of those one day!". I remember seeing the Adventure Trailers badge on the trailer and it was my online search for Adventure Trailers which led me to thier website and eventually here. Guess it's your fault i'm here now:xxrotflma

Hey, I remember that. Funny to see you're in San Diego as well. Totally a small world. Yep, that night it was damn cold and waking up to snow was really cool.

Sorry we led you to find ExPo. Your wallet will never be the same again. I know mine sure hasn't. :jump:

Hope to meet you on some local runs. :punk03:
