montero 2000 gen 2.5 tires

I have another quick question for everyone here.

This is regarding tire size on the 2000 Montero.

I have seen 33x10.5x15 tires on these vehicles with stock rims and the mud flaps and running boards removed so I know they fit.

I have not heard from anyone with this setup if there is any rubbing while actually wheeling with these tires. I do want to make sure that if I hit something to hard the tires won't rip through truck!!

To anyone who has this set up would you believe I will be okay without any lift while doing high speed desert driving as well as rocky terrain low speed driving. Or would a suspension or small body lift be a good idea?

Thnks in advance!!

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I'd do it, with no worries. wind up the front just a little bit to level it out. 4 Wheeling is awesome.

Some of this depends on the condition of your springs and shocks, and how tired they are, but a few weeks ago we flexed out Billygoats 1998 Gen2.5 with 33x10.5xx15's running meaty KM2's and it NEVER rubbed.

Throttle in, throttle out, hammer down, and let it slide. I love high speed dry washes

Oh darn, I forgot that Billygoats had just installed a cheap spacer lift in the rear and cranked to T-bars a bit

When I first got my tires, I had no rear spacer and no front torsion lift. The tires never rubbed. The car doesn't flex well enough to stuff the tire in the fender. My steps and flaps are removed for more ground clearance and to avoid getting ripped off by rocks. There is clearance for the 33x10.5 15s with them on.

Awesome this clears up a lot. I will go ahead and get the tires. I need to replace all my shocks first as they are a bit soft for my liking.

The truck only has 102k and when I purchased was owned by an older man who never once used 4x4 or went over anything bigger than a speed bump so I don't think I'll have any issues.

Thanks everyone this forum is awesome!!! I'll have pics once I start building this thing up!
