Montero SR oil cooler lines availability?

Where's a good source for oil cooler lines? One of mine is leaking and it doesn't look like rockauto or local parts stores have any. Ebay has some, but shipping from china, and don't look quite right.

With a little searching and a couple phone calls you should be able to find someone who will make some for you. In my town there is a company that services refer units for semi trucks, they make any kind of automotive hose you want and they aren’t expensive. Look for something like that. Anybody that can make hydraulic hoses of any kind can probably make your hoses and they’ll probably reuse your hose ends.

I'll have look into that, althought I don't live in a big city. Do you know if it's difficult to use oil cooler line kits to make your own? Since the montero uses a banjo bolt with pressed fitting, it seems like it wouldn't work well, not sure how much pressure is in these particular lines though.

Dude, you are way overthinking this. Every city has a couple/few+ hydraulic hose repair shops. If you look at your hoses, it doesn't have clamps on the hose where it connects to a fitting. The metal over it is called a swaged(sp?) fitting. Tractors, forklifts, lulls, dump trucks, etc all use hydraulic hoses, and someone is around to fix them. Hopefully it's not your only vehicle. If it is, you should see if they will work with you. Have the hoses in hand when they open their doors, and can you please get it done today? And don't forget new crush washers!

I just prefer to use direct fitment parts when I can, makes it easier. If the only real option is a hose repair shop, I'm fine with that (y)

I can’t help you for the exact part, but on one of my old land rovers I had a local hydraulic shop make me new braided stainless lines. It was super simple, I just took them the originals and they had new ones ready in a few days that fit exactly the same but wouldn’t rupture and spew oil onto the exhaust manifolds. They aren’t OEM but they fit the same and are far more durable.
