Here's a list of Jeep factory-authorized parts that let you turn your Wrangler X into a facsimile of the Rubicon. (Unfortunately, if you have to pay someone to install the parts, it's cheaper to buy the Rubicon already assembled from your local Jeep dealer.)

I think its cool Jeep is offering parts but $1,300 for 2" of lift? Yikes... 2.5" lift from Teraflex can be had for $264.

But some folks are about the brand (and hopefully no warranty issues) so I guess the price is ok for them.

It gets worse... the Mopar lifts are actually just re-branded Rubicon Express kits, which are nice enough kits, but they go for something like half the price with RE stickers on them :Wow1:

There is some debate about whether these accessories (many of them anyway) will let you retain your factory warranty. Technically, they are classified as "Mopar Performance" accessories, which are not covered by the warranty, according to the fine print. Some folks report that their installing dealerships have stated that the warranty will remain intact, but it would make me nervous personally... but then again, my warranty expired thousands of miles ago :smiley_drive:

I hear ya on the warranty. I knew the 4" lift was the RE lift, didn't know the 2" was... OUCH on those prices.

The whole warranty issue is old news to me. I mean anyone who mods a car faces that issue. Obviously putting a lift on isn't going to deny getting your leaky top fixed but it might if your drive shaft fails.
