so i called wheelers and ordered the 886 coils. he called me and said that they probbley wont work on a 2wd tacoma(2007). has anyone already done this? i need these coils.what reason would they not fit?

He does not know if you have a Pre-Runner or a regular 2WD small chassis maybe.

its a regular chassie. are the coils a different diameter? our would they just be taller

I would have to assume they would be taller and wider. The Pre-Runner chassis would have larger upper and lower arms as well as more space between them. However, I have not attacked one with a tape measure yet.

Try looking up the part on Foxs or Swayaways website and see if they call out PreRunner / Non-PreRunner as different part numbers.

so can anyone measure the diamiter on there ome coils. mine are about 6 in wide and maybe 7.5 - 8 in tall

The coils on a 5 lug truck are completely different from 4X4/Prerunner models. They are actually larger diameter and much shorter by almost half.
