did you check your tire pressure? .....just being a smart *** :) happy driving and exploring

Safe travels and can't wait to see the trip report!

Sounds like all kinds of fun! Have a blast!

Good luck, happy trails :)

Thanks guys, just got home we had a great trip. My brother in law took a bunch of photos with his DSLR So unfortunately you will have to wait a few days for pics.

Had a great time and the truck performed great, no issues. We spent a bit more time exploring by foot (and thus less by truck) but rest assured it still got a work out

Which trails are you running this time? We'll be up in Bald Eagle this weekend also. Mostly a fishing trip this time but maybe a trail or two. I'll keep an eye out for the Xterra.

Too bad we missed you guys, didn't see this message until just now. The creeks were really running after all the rain they got Wednesday/Thursday

We ran poe paddy drive, strong mountain drive, red gobbler trail as well as nittany mountain trail, might have done a few others I will have to confirm my notes

While you are waiting for the trip pictures here are a couple other to hold you over

Tough hiking this weekend, the Danner's are breaking in nicely

A little while ago I bought the factory Yakima bike rack for inside the Xterra off of kijiji, only $60. This morning was the first time I tired it out, very simple and nice to be able to store the bikes inside for theft prevention or bad weather.

Just uses a fork mount, with two straps on each handle bar for stabilization

That's a really nice rack idea, I do love that about the Xterras- neat factory touches for stuff like that.

Yup! It's also really easy to strap in, just uses the factory tie down locations in the trunk. My rear hitch rack is still better for carrying two bikes, people and a bunch of stuff, but this setup will work better in high theft locations, potentially bad weather or really rough roads

Guess I found the rattling heat shield.......

One of the two spot welds was broken so it was rattling A TON. A little tap with a screwdriver and the other weld failed, I guess it's coming off! Just grabbed it and pulled it off at that point.

Was attached to the driver side catalytic converter
