I'm looking for a good way to mount a winch on a 2010 silverado 1500. I don't want to go with a bumper because most aren't made for the 1500 and they add to much weight. That leaves a receiver or a push bar type. I like the receiver idea but all of the ones I have seen for the NBS mount under the bumper and reduce the already not enough clearance. I have seen ones for the 2500 that you have to cut a hole in the middle for and this seems like it would work well. Any ideas or pics of what everyone else uses? I like the hidden mounts and that is probably the way I'm leaning but open to ideas. This is a DD and used for camping and hunting so it is for light duty occasional use. I am thinking a Ramsey or Warn 8000.
