I have an 89 Burban with the 350 TBI and im taking a stab in the dark but i think i have 3.73 rear gears, but im not 100% sure. currently i have worn out 31x10.5 inch tires and on jaunts less then 30 miles i usually get around 12, but when i took it on a longer 4 hour trip i was seeing 13 and 14 mpg too. It would probably get those figures more consistently if i gave it a tune up, but its been a dang reliable truck for me. I love it.

with the 350 tbi, 4L60E tranny, 3.73 gears and 265/75/16 tires, I amaveraging 13.5 mpg on long highway runs, speeds of 70-75 mph, and that is using the overdrive. Around town I am seeing 10 mpg with the overdrive off, and those speeds are no more than 35 mph.

1998, 3.73, 5.7, 4l60e, 1500, 295/75r16(33 inches tall). Get 14mpg highway, a little less city. Was getting close to 16 with the 245/75r16's. Want to re-gear or go back to smaller tires, the gas it brutal.
