MUD-UK hitches up with award-winning Adventure Trailers – Built for Off-Road™
MUD-UK, based in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire, has been named as the official UK & European dealer for Adventure Trailers, based in the USA, as announced at the Overland Expo Show in Arizona in April 2010.
Adventure Trailers enjoys an enviable reputation throughout the world for manufacturing top quality overland trailers; its products were awarded ‘Best in Breed’ in a recent survey conducted by the prestigious US magazine Overland Journal.
To say class-leading is an understatement ─ the Adventure Trailer is in a class of its own;
‘Built for Off-road’ is the company trademark. As a highly respected brand, Adventure Trailers rarely come onto the secondhand market ─ once tried and tested their owners are hitched for life!
As an example of Adventure Trailers and MUD-UK’s commitment to offering the finest off-road trailer in Europe, Adventure Trailers will be the only ‘off-road’, high mobility trailer available in the UK with full European-type approval ahead of the forthcoming 2012 European legislation applicable to all trailers.
MUD-UK Adventure Trailers are designed, built and assembled in Yorkshire and feature a galvanised chassis and bodywork, LED wiring, stainless steel fittings, various hitch options, hitch heights and hub patterns to suit the towing vehicle. All Adventure Trailers will feature independent suspension with FOX Racing coilovers.
On sale from July, MUD–UK Adventure Trailers are bespoke builds to meet the customer’s specification. The CAD-designed chassis is built in Bingley, West Yorkshire, by Bradley Trailer Technology ─ owners of Dixon Bate, specialist manufacturer of trailers and trailer components for over 60 years.
As well as appealing to the tough, overland travel market, there are many other uses for the Adventure Trailer. These include outdoor activities and adventure sports, plus providing top quality support to the commercial market ─ utility companies, for instance. The heavy-duty trailers also have potential for specialist emergency service and military applications.
MUD-UK’s Kevin Baldwin said: “Off-road trailers have traditionally been dedicated camping trailers. Adventure Trailers fills the gap in the market for a tough, general purpose, load-carrier that can double up as a camping trailer. We are delighted to be the suppliers of Adventure Trailers in the UK and Europe, and initially will be offering the ‘Chaser’ model. We will also be offering a DIY trailer kit package to suit the home builder, consisting of rolling chassis and self-assembly bodywork ─ bodywork packages for the popular Sankey trailer are in the pipeline. Our aim is to make Adventure Trailers a one-stop resource by providing parts, an online forum, as well as organised weekend adventures for off-road trailer owners.”
The First UK unveiling of the ‘Chaser’ trailer will be at the MUD-UK/Adventure Trailer stand at the LRO Billing Show on 17th July.
