GrassCat
Adventurer
Hi you all, new to the site and a great site it is. I'm retired so not much to talk about there, but here's some information about my GrassCat.
It's a 1991 3.0L Montero Gen I LWB that I bought for $300.00 three years ago. That was just the start.
After repairing the ECU and installing rebuilt heads, it was off to the smug station, it passed, yeah!! :wings:
After driving for awhile and quite pleased with my find, I discovered 4X4 wire. So I read and read some more and discovered I needed to make some changes if I where to do manly stuff off road.
So I added a few things like,
31 x 10.5 x 15 Pirelli Scorpion ATR's mounted on 1996 Gen II SR rims.
1996 SR rear axle with disk brakes and sporting a locker.
1995 SR Gen II front disk brakes.
Electric fan with DCC variable speed controller.
Aisin manual hubs.
Twin bouncy seats out of a 1991 LS model mounted with Plymouth Voyager seats.
Dual battery setup.
Beef up rear bumper.
Mile marker 10,500 lb hydro winch with modified bumper.
Sleeping platform in the back with storage under.
Garmin 7200 GPS
Roof racks and space box by Yakima.
I'm waiting on the rock sliders from Rodger.
Oh and a chick magnet (snorkel)
