My 4th gen 4runner and introduction

Hey all!

I'm obviously new here and wanted to show off/introduce myself. I've been working on setting up my new-to-me 4th gen for some camping/expediting (is that the proper verb usage?)

First thing I did was sew a dog net to keep my pup in the back:

Then I started to build a roof rack:





Its only allowing me to post 3 photos... I assume there is a limit so I will continue with follow up post.

Then the sleeping platform that folds into the cargo area:






Next project is a dual battery set-up using a group 34 deep cycle battery, voltage regulated isolater, and a 1000-1500 Watt inverter to power lights, fan, charge phones, and possibly run a coffee maker.

Looks great. I've slept in the back of my terra before. I think it's a great way to travel.

Looks good. I took the rear seat out completely in my 4R and made a flat floor.

I considered taking the seats out but I really wanted to retain the ability to have passengers back there. That's why I put in extra effort to make it collapsible.

I considered doing that as well but I really wanted to retain the ability to carry passengers. I do a lot of ski trip with friends and the more I can fit, the more they can pitch in on gas.

That's why I went through the trouble to design it to be folding.

Looking great! I'm in the market for a 4th Gen 4Runner Sport at the moment and plan to do a similar build. It will be a daily driver + occasional overlanding rig. Love to see other builds!
