My 95 Chevy Suburban diesel build

Just picked up my new adventure/camping rig last weekend.

1995 Chevy Suburban 4x4

Blue with faded paint on roof and hood.

Interior is amazing considering miles(332k) and age.

All original the guy I bought it off of hasn’t replaced anything other than oil and filters since he has had it and doesn’t believe the guy he bought it off of had done anything to it.

In the next few weeks I’ll be replacing,
Water Pump to the HO 130GPM one
Fan clutch from a 98 Subruban
Duramax 20” plastic fan
New lift pump from a 93
New OPS
New reman’d injectors from badger diesel
Fuel filter
FTB mod
Diamond eye cross over, down pipe, turbo back 4” exhaust
CDR
Glow plugs
Upgraded lift pump harness from Leroy Diesel
Camping set up in rear

Next few years
Bumpers
Sliders
Lift (not sure if SAS or IFS)
Tires
Lockers
10.5 FF or AAM 11.5 FF in rear


Replaced oil with mobil 1 TDT and a mobil 1 filter (next change I’ll go amsoil bypass)
Changed most of the lights that I could to a LED
I replaced the alt on the side of the road since it seized and shreaded my belt….. doh!!!

Nice burb! Can't complain about the new rules at Carolina Beach. The enforced campsites mean you can actually have some of the beach to yourself for the evening!

its the best vehicle I've ever bought for under 1k by far. Doing a lot of PM on it for now. Just need to find a good cheap CAD program so I can draw up some armor and trailer plans

Seems like I remember having one just like that.:wavey: I hope you enjoy it. Sounds like you are doing all the things I wanted to do to it. I'll be watching.
