My 97 Tacoma build

I have had my Tacoma for about 6 years, and since have installed a new 2.7 liter engine. My fiance and I are in the process of planning an expedition that will take us from Portland Oregon to South America then on to South Africa, and up to Europe. I have just started the build process, and with this forum and help from friends and family hopefully our dream will be realized. Here are some pics of my truck, where I have taken the seats out and will be removing the carpet for replacement. So far I have obtained an ENGEL 16 QT. fridge-freezer - MT17F-U1, for $306 on ebay that I will temporarily mount inside the extra cab. My next goal is to get a RTT. Anyway I will update as I acquire more essentials for the truck.

More work

SO here is the carpet removed, and painting the interior plastic. I have to replace the speedo cable, and put a new speedo gear seal in the tranny b/c it is leaking into the gauge cluster. I just want to get the interior and body completed so I can start spending my money on accessories that I really need.

interior update

Got the dash and panels back in, just waiting for sound proofing and carpet.

I will be filling the gap between the two panels in the extra cab with painted sheet metal.

Still needs some touching up.
