My Budget Sand Ladders

I was given somee free sections of waffleboard (reinforced fiberglass grating) from a friend's business. One side is smooth and one is a very rough non-slip surface. They were a little oversized so I got out the Sawzall and started trimming!

Finished sand ladders, one for positive and one for negative  Each is 48" x 11"

Next is to figure some sort of mounting setup for stowing them on my my African Outback rack.

That's what we have on my ship as deck plating! It can be heavy in large pieces, but cut down like yours would be perfect!

They are heavy, about 13 pounds each after trimming. The price was right and the experiment is fun and nice aluminum sand ladders cost mucho bux. I may get to try mine out in Utah soon, roughly in the Kanab area.

Overland Journal video of various sand ladders test. Includes pulsating martial music to induce excitement and desire for sand ladders

You will have to put the red one on the port side the green one on the starboard side or they won't work.

That's for heading downriver.... :sombrero: "Red on your Right on Return" (upriver). So with proper placement of the sand ladders you can go up or downriver in your overland vehicle.
