Just picked this baby up yesterday.

96 Discovery I
2 owners (well 3 now I guess)
140k
serviced since 79k at Discovery Automotive in Raleigh
Maintenance records since new
4" Lift with OME Shocks and OME HD Springs w/spacers
Steering stabilizer
33" BFG all terrain tires
Disco II headlights
HELLA 500 driving lights

I am actually thinking of removing the spacers to lower the truck back down a bit for better drive ability. Any reason not to remove them (other than the lift they provide?)

How difficult is it to remove the spacers? I am mechanically inclined I just come from sports cars so this truck/lifting stuff is new to me

**and no the oil spot underneath is not from the Land Rover

Nice looking DI! I like the avalon blue. Removing the spacers are pretty simple and straight forward. If your truck still has sway bars it will help to unbolt them so you can slide them out more easily. The truck will never handle like your sports cars, but lowering the truck will definitely improve it's stability on the road. Good luck!

I seem to remember this truck changing hands on d-web a while back, you also have RTE HD rods by the looks of it, and the RTE steering stabilizer relocation.

Nice truck!

Nice truck!

And British number plates issued in 1983 or so? (Could be the owner here requested older plates specifically for some reason - maybe initials etc.)

Thanks for the compliments!!

I am the 3rd owner of it. The previous owner bought it back in 2004 with it only had 79k on it...could be the same truck.

I think the previous owner was born in '83 - hence the plates. Still deciding whether I am going to leave it on there or not...

How can you tell I have the RTE HD rods?

My two previous cars just because everyone likes pictures :)
