My home made trailer build

I started this build about two weeks ago. It was a 4x8 utility trailer. But it was rotted pretty bad. I am building it to fit with my 82 Jeep Scrambler. Here is what I got so far. I am modeling it after the smittybuilt scout trailer.

She’s on her tires now. Need to finish up some welds and weld on the pintle hitch.

I made some more progress this weekend. The box is all tacked, ran out of shielding gas. I’m happy with the size. Once the box is complete I’ll start on the spare tire mount.

What is everyone using to skin the boxes? I was thinking about 1/16” diamond plate.
