My mom gave me her old Trek 6500!

It's a 1990's model. Here is a pic of exactly what it looks like.

It rides really good it seems, to me. Not sure if it "fits" me though. I'm 6' tall. But it's comfortable enough.

It has all Shimano gears and stuff. The lever kind, not the twist kind.

So glad to have a new (to me) bike!

I recall these were really expensive back in the 90's?

I must be your Mom's age (29ish), I rocked a 7000 from 1989 til 1999, then dropped to a 4500 until my new 6500 last year.
Those Treks were awesome - the first two had no suspension (the way it was meant to be!) and the 7000 was my favourite til stolen.
No complaints on the new 6500, EXCEPT it's now Made in China. My first two were Union-Made in the USA, metal badge to prove it. That, and the geometry/balance drew me to Trek. Boils my blood to think about it. Oh well.
Ride it like you stole it, brother! (stole from yo momma, that is :bike_rider:)
