My new Aussie swag trailer

After looking for a Kamparoo trailer for sometime and not finding anything I turned to this form. I posted a want add and a form member from Colorado responded. A few emails and phone conversations later and the wife and I were headed to Colorado!
This is what we picked-up!

And with it set up.

Over all it is in very good shape. I will be making some changes to my taste. The front has already had everything removed from the tongue to fit a single storage box. The box will hold the battery and inverter and a solar panel will go on the lid. I change the rear brake lights out to LED and flushed the water tank.
I used a friends kamparoo (a 1980's model) for many years and really like the set up. The Aussie is a newer model, I think its about a 1997 from my google research? The canvas on the Aussie is much thicker then on the Kamparoo. Another nice feature on the Aussie is the fact that it has doors on each side as well as the end. This means that you can park it in any direction an not worry about the door location. This also means that you have a lot of ventilation because all doors and windows have heavy duty screens.
I will post some pictures of the inside when I get a chance to open it up again!

Upgrades....

I was able to get a little more work done and some interior pics..... If you notice the new diamond plate at the end of the bed? I made them to replace the wooden panels that were original because the paint was starting to peel, and I like shinny aluminum stuff!

The old setup on the front, just didn't work well...

The new box. Wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was fee and will work better than the old setup!

I was able to move the pole mounts from the front of the trailer to the top of the new box.

And you can open the top without removing the poles...

Wiring,,,

The inside power was all 220 and aussie plugs. So I am in the process of changing it over to standard 110v. Trying to decide on the location for the batteries and inverter? The front box or under the bed? Also changed the brake lights to LED with some diamond plate backing plates to cover the old mounting holes.
Old lights.

In with the new.

Up next, LED lights for the interior and some hella reading lights.

Got some LED lights installed and rewired all of the electrical. Installed a battery in the front box and wired in some charging ports in the sleeping area. Getting ready for a trip Christmas week to Baja. I will get some more pictures posted this week.
