My trailer progress so far.

So Ive always wanted one and finally decided to build one. Got so many idea from this forum and the excellent builds on here !! Ive been working on this for about 3 weeks now , still a ways to go. Will update pics as I progress.

Looks good. I need to get moving on mine. After dealing with NC DMV, I found it easier to register in Maine.

How hard is it to register in NC ? I dont have sketches, just flying by the seat of my pants lol I just figure some kind of weather seal .

Two appraisals, indemnity bond, inspection by DMV inspector to have them issue a vin #. After three months of running around I spent a few minutes online at www.mainetrailerregistrations.com, less than a week later I had plates and registration.

On that Maine registration, how did you get the VIN being out if state. I'm interested on a current build I have. Thanks.

If its a homemade trailer, they give it to you and you stamp it in the frame and axle.

Thanks for that great info about the registration !! More progress has been made. Basic structure is finished. Now to start adding latches,wiring,skin it etc..
