A mint condition NL Portable Power pack system, complete with Diehard Marine AGM battery and housed in a custom aluminum dry box with built-in Novo genius smart charger. The PPP is perfect when you can't fit a second battery under your hood, or you want a self-contained portable second battery system.
Purchased new from Mario at Adventure Trailers along with an NL Weekender Fridge. My version takes the NL kit and installs it in an aluminum locking drybox, with a Marine AGM battery, an installed smart charger, and with options to hook up multiple 12v outlets, or even connect to solar panels for indefinite, off the grid outbacking. You literally plug in and go, or plug in at home or a campsite to recharge. Perfect companion for a NL fridge system or similar ARB or Engel system, plus tons of capacity for other gadgets.
My build of the box with pix is detailed here.
Install pix of the box, battery, PPP, and charger also here.
I ended up only using the battery system all of three times before changing my rig to an RV system, so not needing this any longer. It's been stored, and on a smart charger in my garage. It's in mint condition, ready to go. If you want to charge from your car, just install a run of battery cables from your battery. You can order a jumper from from Mario, or just run down to your local store and buy parts to install yourself.
The NL power pack system is fully self contained and "portable" unlike a typical dual battery setup. All the circuitry and regulation is done in the Power Pack, no need to mess with wiring up something to your alternator, which means you can use this for several vehicles or Adventure trailers. You can store this outside the vehicle or on a trailer, because the dry box keeps everything "dry". It's also lockable, and you can easily add a grommet or cable security, or even bolt it into your trailer for theft prevention.
My investment (not including labor or shipping/tax) was:
NL Power Pack: $500
Sears Die Hard Plat marine: $300
Noco Charger: $120
Dry Box: $180
Various Anderson cables and access doors and locks and 12v. connectors: $150
Total: $1250
So you save $450.And I used it all of three times. BTW, the NL Weekender is not for sale. Gonna keep it a while to see if I might use it on the new rig.
This thing is stout, and I'm not keen to ship it given the battery alone weighs 70lbs. Prefer local buyer, though I am headed to N Cali in a few weeks and could drop if off b/t Seattle to Sacramento. I don't want to part it out either, given the work done to install it. It's really an all-in-one ready to go portable battery system, and if you have solar already, this thing will keep you powered indefinitely while in the field.
PM Me if interested.
