I was at the MacDill AFB airshow in Tampa last weekend and saw these sweet Suburbans that the Navy SWCC teams are using to pull their 11-meter RIBs and 33' Riverine craft with. It has a 6" lift, Line-x liner on the floor inside, Ranch Hand grille guard, Warn 9.5ti multi-mount winch, on-board air system with tank, ARE Teflon coated rims and BFG T/A ko tires, Bushwacker flares, plus some other upgrades like exhaust, intake and program tuner, etc. I want one!!!

I can't imagine ANY Suburban could pull an 11 meter. Maybe the SOC-R, but not the 11 meter. Did you actually watch it pull it around? Out here in San Diego we'd use Freightliner FL80's.

No....I didn't. There was a crew cab semi-truck next to the 11-meter rib. Could that be the tow vehicle you were referring to? You can see the front end of it in the first pic.

Special Warfare Combatant-Craft. It refers to the Navy's special operations boats and their crewmen. They provide insertion for Navy SEALs and other special operators.

Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmember, to be a little more precise.

The boat in the pic is the SOC-R (Riverine) platform, which is much smaller than the 11 meter RHIB. The 11 meter weighs in at around 17,500 lbs., not including trailer. That semi truck you saw was most likely the tow vehicle. Those boats are fun to drive. Punishing at a high sea-state, but still a lot of fun.
