So unless I've missed it for the last 3 years, my suburban rear hatch has no way to be opened from inside the vehicle. I want to rectify this. I've been looking around the googles, and found 2 options that would work fairly easily I think.
1) Use an electronic door popper connected to a button inside the truck.
Pros: cool factor, less effort than having to pull a cable latch I suppose, ease of installation
Cons: no power, no door. Cost.
2) Using a cable pull latch of some sort, like a generic hood latch, or a cable seat latch (found a pic that is promising, but for the life of me can't find the actual product), or something I did find, a recliner replacement cable pull latch.
Pros: reliable, cheap
Cons: hard to find something that would potentially work
Forgive me if this is something that has been done to death, but for the life of me I can't find anything anywhere, which I find odd considering the sheer amount of people that camp out of their suburbans. Input welcome.
