Basically in order to start the truck you had to give it gas and keep the idle up while it reached a warm enough temp to run on its own. My wife wouldn't use the truck because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to start it.
Only problem is the idle is now too high. Even after an ECU reset? Looking at the new IAC it's not identical, the piece that extends into the throttle body is shorter on the new one? Any advice?
Thanks
I have a similar problem with my 96 sr running high. I suspect it has something to do with some of the vacuum lines although I never got around to exploring it further.
There was a set screw on the throttle body that was preventing the idle from being adjusted down. Once I backed it out and used the idle adjustment screw ,voila! Next Ill have to tackle the center diff and rear diff lock, right now there not engaging.
