I ordered a couple of the Cruiserhead light switches off of Amazon a few days ago and just got them in. They look pretty cool I think, and much more of a factory look without spending 60 bucks a switch like the Toyota ones. I am however, having an issue getting one of them working.
I'm running a set of Lightforce 170's. I never liked the switch provided by Lightforce so I used a Rigid Industries switch for the last year or so. Wanting a more factory look I got the new switch.
The issue I'm running into is the new switch uses 4 wires, one connected to the source, one connected to the relay or accessory, one connected to the dash lights and one connected to ground. The Lightforce switch only requires 2 wire, a basic power and ground.
I've tried running the power every way I can think to the four wire switch, and while I the switch lights up when it should and goes dark when it should, I can not get it to turn the lights on. Anyone have any ideas?
I've included the instructions on the back of the switch package.
I even contacted Cruiserheads but the gentleman I got on the phone definitely wasn't one of their installers and couldn't tell me how to do it. Seeing as how they used a picture of a Lightforce lights on the switch I would think the switch would work for these lights. Please help :smile
