NEED INFO - Awning mount on an OEM Tacoma roof rack - PICS

As I am quite follically challenged and generally dislike the way I look in big hats... I have been researching possible mounting options for an awning to a factory Toyota roof rack on a +05 Tacoma. Certainly there are options to mount a full cage style rack (ala BajaRack) to the OEM rack... and then bolt the awning brackets to that... but I keep thinking there has to be a simpler, lower profile way, that I can easily remove for storage and as much as I like reinventing the wheel (just ask my friends), perhaps someone can help me out here.

So I stumbled on a few photos in TacoDell's photobucket site from Moab 2011 of a DCSB with a bed tent and an awning. I have sent a few notes to TacoDell looking for some contact info... but he has been off the site for a while it seems, and I haven't heard back... so I thought I could reach out to the greater populous and see if anyone knows whose truck this is and where I could get ahold of him.

Any info or discussion would be appreciated.

Throwing to the top...

Looking for info on this truck... Or anyone else that has mounted an awning to the OEM roof rack on a Tacoma.

Pretty hard to see in the picture there how it's mounted. I know Yakima (and probably thule) make rack mounts that fit to the stock rails for a lot of cars, I had some on my Subaru WRX. I wonder if you could use tyhem on just 1 size, then build an adapter from that to the awning mounting points.

Somewhere on here, I have a thread on my awning mount for a 3rd gen 4runner. It's worked great for years.
