Need Roof Rack Ideas for Can-Back Top

I'm subscribed to the concurrent thread about home made roof racks. There is a reference to racks on Can-Back tops, but no details or photos, so I'm starting a thread specific to this application.

I have a Can-Back top on my Bantam trailer. (See photos in the link below my signature.) I have two Yakima-style cross bars and am in the process of designing a rack that will hold the obligatory hi-lift, axe and shovel, also a spare tire. Anything else will likely be relatively light weight such as tents, sleeping bags, folding chairs, etc.

I am looking for ideas for the lowest profile rack possible, approximately 38-46" wide by 71" long.

A friend is helping me build a roof rack for my JK out of Hollaender Speed-Rail http://www.hollaender.com/?page=speedrail , but it'll be a few weeks (fingers crossed) until it's done. With all the fittings you could imagine, I think the system would be easily adapted to your application.
