the steering joints on my 93 4.0L ZJ are plain worn out and its quite the adventure to drive on the pavement. looking at options, im trying to figure out if the currie currectlync system is worth the huge amount of extra $$ over getting all new factory style V8 stuff? my ZJ does have a 3" lift

I have a good used v8 linkage in the garage that I pulled off to install a crossover setup, PM me if I can help you out.

C'mon, don't bulls**t me
why not just get replacement joints?

The stock linkage on the I6 equipped Jeeps are garbage, hollow steel that bends easily. On the v8 ZJ they came with solid steel linkage that can take a beating, probably 3-4 times stronger than the hollow linkage.

exactly. the used lift i got came with V8 steering linkage as the previous owner went with long arms and high steer, its crazy how flimsy the I6 stuff is in comparison! i am currently running the V8 stuff but i have no clue how much mileage is on the parts, i just know more than 2 of the joints are worn out and have a LOT of play in the ball ends of the joints so it all needs to be replaced somehow

I ran the ZJ V8 tie rod on my XJ, and they will hold up to some hard wheeling.

I went with new MOOG brand ends, and never had a problem.

On my TJ, which had the factory I6 junk tie rod, I went with one from Rustys Offroad, which uses the same size joints as the ZJ V8 tie rod, but has a short TRE on each end (not one long and one short)

The cost was a wash between the Rustys and getting the MOOG parts, so I went with that this round.

the currie stuff is NASTY. get it if you can afford it - its entirely worth it. Savvy has an upgraded tie-rod for the currectlync system too. you can buy the system with the savvy tie rod from savvy and save some coin. Blaine Johnson designed it from 1.5" heat treated solid stock spring steel. its designed for those of us who drive by braille.

this was the currie system on my TJ
