Need to pass Smog test

Hey guys I got a 95 sr thats due for the annual smog test, and I'm just wondering if any of you know if removing the butterflies in the intake pletum will have a negative effect when I go do my smog test. I'm thinking since there's no butterflies more air goes thru and will cause the truck to use more fuel. The test is thru metered air. Thanks in advance.

Taking a stab at this, but I would think that if you are getting a complete burn and not just dumping fuel in, you would still be able to pass.

It should have no impact. Theoretically it will impact performance, but you probably won't notice.
