New addition to my family!

Congrats on the truck and it sounds like you are already wayyyy on your way in modifying your truck. There's another 4th Gen Cummins thread currently going in this same forum - check it out. The OP has a nice truck outfitted with a Carli suspension and 35's and there's a link to a home made front receiver hitch mount that I'm going to be making (I have a 2011 Ram 2500).

Anyways - happy motoring!

A very nice addition to your family. Now all we need is some pics of that awesome:Wow1: rig getting dirty.....:)

High Country, that front mount receiver looks really nice, but I am actually going to run a rear mounted winch where the spare tire currently sits. Im trying to get as much weight off the front of the truck as I can since that anchor of a motor doesn't help in the weight distrubution department. I measured everything, and since I want to run 37" Toyos a spare tire wouldn't fit under there anyway. Should be nice and stealth.

Chilli, the dirty pics are going to be a while. I am pretty OCD about cleaning the truck as soon as I get home from work and we haven't taken any off road trips in it yet. Next summer for sure though.

Ok I have updated this thread with some pics. I know that it has taken me forever, unfortunately the last thing I want to do when I get home is work on the computer. Also here is a pic of her nice and dirty so that everyone knows she isn't just a driveway queen.

Please see updated pics of mods on page 2.

Update on the tuner:

I am currently running mild power setting and timing set at 2. This has proven to give me better performance, less timing rattle, and better fuel economy than the default setting which was no power and timing set on 3. I will play around with the power settings more when I get a better clutch. The stock clutch will not hold on any power setting above mild with this tuner. I am currently averaging between 18-18.5mpg hand calculated in combined highway/around town driving. My best tank so far was an all highway trip and I got 19.9mpg.

Also I am not sure if it was mentioned earlier but I am running 1/4oz per gallon of XPD fuel additive. This is merely for extra fuel lubricity as the ultra low sulfur fuel has been known to wear out fuel pumps and such. It really is pretty economical as a gallon of it lasts me about 7500 miles. I have not done any fuel mileage comparisons with and without the additive so I don't know if it is affecting mileage at all. I just run it all the time.
