HI and welcome, ask away, loads of varying opinions here
A Pinz was never on our list really, very rare here in Australia. I was looking for a smaller Unimog when my U1250 came up on auction. I wanted a Unimog because it was the most capable off road truck there is. A camper truck is close to or at GVM all the time. The Fusos and other Japanese trucks are road trucks with 4wd added. Unimogs are designed to work off road fully loaded 100% of the time, not sure if any other truck is designed to operate under those conditions.
Only the Mercedes Truck line!
hello guys. i am kamarul from malaysia. Just bought my self unimog 1250L. any chance people here use same chasis for camper.would love to get some idea form you guys.
thanks
Through the yrs I've had VW's, Rovers, Domestic Vans, and even 710K+712K Pinzgauers. No matter how I built/outfitted them they were never big enough or could do what I wanted them to do or haul. I think the natural progression is to move towards a Unimog in the end. I have a U1300 now and am ecstatic with it. For all of it's faults...they can be fixed or upgraded if needed. There is not alot of aftermarket support for the Pinzy's either so unless you are an engineer or very crafty then you might be disappointed with the end result. Good luck!Thank you fellas for your response. What caused you to choose a Unimog over a Pinzgauer?
