Thanks Hilldweller,
as it turns out, a good friend of ours clued me in that the missus ordered a set of these for me for Xmas, so I guess I'll find out the hard way. She ordered them 2 days ago...Hopefully the "fixed" ones...black. there's a set of PSC Brawler Rockers going under the tree too.
going to have to go big for her this year ;)
Yup, she's a keeper.

Id rather have my X patterns that you DO NOT SEE when actually driving, instead of the huge poop brown blob on road in front of me. Stop pointing the lights at walls to compare them. Its useless as its not how lights are used. The only time I see any inkling of an x pattern is behind another vehicle up close. Other than that its not even visible. I bet that blob is however, and with Gen one JWs the total lack of light in front of the rig would be horrible too.

Would someone please do a real shoot of these two lights Up a road! thanks! Sit inside your jeep, take some up the road shots. maybe the blob will be blocked by the front of the JEEP.

Why? It would just be yet another review stating that the JWs are the preferred light. You obviously wouldn't like it or would condemn it as flawed. I see plenty of brown poop on the road in front of me during certain seasons when the cows are transiting to and from the mountain. I see no blob of poop emanating from my JW II's.

ok, no I would not call it flawed because I can see what the light is doing down the road. In that video there is a huge brown colored blob, if you can't see that Please do not drive at night around me. Now, in the Jeep it might be right in front of the bumper out of sight. I would really like to see the beam patterns as they are actually used, down the road. Shooting lights at walls is useless as it does nothing to show what the light does at its intended use. I know the EVOs are not near as good on high beam as the truck lights. I want to see how the evo 2s work. I may switch if they are as good as everyone says.

That blob is just in front of the bumper, you have to look over the drivers fender to even notice it. You cannot see it on the passenger side at all.

The high beams are unbelievable, blows away my KC's I was running.

They really are as good as everyone says but it does take a week or so for your brain to realize just how much better they are compared to whatever aftermarket lights your currently using. It'll be obvious right away if your running the stock flashlights...
