Hello everyone! Im Justin, I am 24 years old and own a 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. Iv'e been obsessed with the mountains since I was a kid and exploration has always been apart of my life. It started for me when I was about 6, Dad took me fishing in the mountains and he said I spent more time wondering off and collecting rocks and sticks than fishing lol. Freshman year in high school one of my teachers took me and some friends on a 5 day survival training trip in the Rocky Mountains, Climbed my first 14er, and ever since I have been hooked to the outdoors. Got my first Jeep JK at 21 after I got a job. It introduced me into the sport of off roading and thats where I found my true love for exploring. I was able to get to places not everyone gets to see in this jeep. I never really knew that these trails were listed on websites. I just simply drove to the mountains, not knowing what I would get into, and just keep exploring these old mine roads. Even though I love the sport of wheeling, I am more into the expedition and exploring side of things.

My goal, when money isn't an issue, is to some day explore the remote areas in the states by vehicle, check out the different cultures and beautiful landscapes. Take beautiful pictures, and hopefully step foot on ground that hasn't ever been touched by another human being!

Since, I traded the 07 2 door jk for an 06 Tacoma dbl cab trd. Needed the room for my fishing stuff and camping gear. Great truck. It did well off road and had not one complaint about it besides it just didnt make me as happy as my old jeep. So I traded that in for the jeep I have now. Couldn't be happier!!!!

2012 JKU Sport. 2.5" RC lift, RC Dual Sterring stabilizers, MW3 AEV Front bumper( fabed my own grille guard) IPF 956s, 32" GY M/Ts (35" Duratracs in a week) Its not built how I want it, yet

Welcome Justin! Nice truck and great pictures. Where in Colorado are you? I lived there for quite a while. Wish I never had to leave! Good luck.

Marn and i are on here, and we're both moderators on JeepForum - its just a different group of people there. there is a growing amount of overlanders and expeiditonists at JF though.

Even marshal is less of a jerk here! ;) haha
Although in his defense, I wouldn't want to moderate a place like that.

Welcome!

Any interest in showing someone around your favorite spots in Colorado in the summer? I've got six weeks off this summer and would love to explore Utah and Colorado and a bit!

Welcome Justin! Any chance you could post up some of your more scenic shots without the f/x? I think you are taking great pics, but I would love to see the originals too. Colorado is fast becoming one of my favorite states to visit. We did the west side this fall, but I have friends to visit in Windsor and Nederland so an east slope trip will be coming soon.

What are you doing to run the 35s? Spacers, or new wheels. If spacers, which brand and size? Post up some pics when the new rubber is on!

No problem. All photos are taken with Iphone4s so I try to add some effects to make them look better. Nikon d3200 is coming for my birthday in April. I plan on going with 1.5" spridertrax spacers until I can afford some wheels with proper backspacing. I'm looking into the different AEV wheels.

Here are some pics I have uploaded to Photobucket. I have many more, just have to dig them up.

This is the southwest peak of Mt. McClellan. The trail is amazing and consists of many old mines, wildlife, and trails that go on for miles. Great area to explore. I have been here at least 10 times and still haven't covered all the different trails and mines. I plan on going back this summer for a 3 day trip. Here is a link to some info. http://home.comcast.net/~TommySpace/WaldorfR.html

Thanks for the pix. I shoot with a Nikon D200. Not as many pixels or features as the newer ones, but it is very similar in layout to my F4s, so it is easy for me to use. The big difference comes in the lenses. I'll check out instagram.
