Howdy all.

Name's Eric ...e-jeep is my screen name on all the forums I frequent. Grew up around Jeeps and an International Scout on a farm in Illinois. I'm a avid off roader, though not as much as I'd like anymore ...kids, work, life, etc. Ya know, the stuff that always gets in the way, LOL!! I have a growing interest in overland excursions ...trips I want my kids to experience.

I recently sold a heavily modified 2010 JKU Sport and bought a 2012 JK Rubicon. She's a work in progress.

Anyway, glad to be here. Looking forward to learning and adding value where I can.

With the mention of kids and longer trips, I gotta ask... How come you went from a four door to a two door? Seems a bit backwards for your situation. Both jeeps are awesome by the way.

I got the 4 door at my wife's insistence. I enjoyed building it, but never really enjoyed using it ...just me. I have two kids, so there's plenty of room in the two door for the family, and I'm looking at off road trailer build options.

That works. My wife wanted a four door too, after my '05 Rubicon. The space helps on the longer trips, but I still miss my '05. Since she drives the JK, and pays for it, she can have her way! She wanted a Sahara, but I kinda insisted on another Rubi. The 4.10 gearing is way better for our area.

Yeah ...my wife has an Audi A4, so we use that for non-off road trips.

...and the 4.10 gears are better regardless, lol!!

Another :wavey: from a fellow reader of JKO and ExPo. I read a little about your old Jeep on JKO - I am glad to see that you are building up another rig!
