Well new to this forum at least.
I've had my 84 BJ60 for about 4 years now and she's had a couple of modifications done over the years. I am a member of the Coastal Cruisers, a Landcruiser club around the Vancouver, B.C. area. We usually do trips once a month, have not done many trips that would qualify as an expedition but I am working slowly on that count. If anyone is interested we usually hang out on: http://forum.ih8mud.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39
For those interested in some pics of my trips, there is a link below. As for my truck: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fantomdesigns/sets/72157594179048827/

By the way, nice forum!

Thanks

Cool 60 series and front bumper

Welcom to ExPo.

Very nice rig. Did you build that front bumper yourself? I like it!
Cheers,
P

Thanks for the welcome guys.

As for the bumper, that was my creation, well at least it is a first prototype. 2 weeks design to powder coating.

The avatar....well that was a pick on of the guys took on a trip by Harrison lake (Hale creek). The first time I was testing the Snorkel. The first crossing was great, water over the hood, 3/4 up the doors, all the fun stuff. Coming back was less fun (which is this pic), got stuck in the deep end and in the time it took for someone to get behind me to pull me out the truck was already filling with water. The first guy that was pulling me out busted his front output shaft on the TC, the next 2 guys tried pulling me out (in 2 trucks) and still nothing. That's when we noticed a rock bigger then my tire between my rear diff and the rear bumper. By then the water in the truck was at the same hight as outside of it - the Snorkel worked great though!!. We managed to pull the rock out (which caused the truck to drop even further under water), then pull the truck out and cause small waterfalls as we opened the doors. Oops. All is well now and all of the electrical has been fixed/replaced that got damaged. I love diesels.

welcome

Nice rig! To bad the US can't seem to follow the good example of the rest of the world by going diesel and solid front axles, instead they crap out all these platic car/truck things and pawn them off as offroad worthy.Welcome to the Portal.
