New Member Looking for some Adventure

Good day everyone,

New member here looking to meet new friends and learn about the wonderful world of Overlanding.
Purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and like to get it ready for some backcountry trips for getting adapted to the feel.

So far I've added a 2.5 in Rock Krawler lift with Milestar Patagonias 295x70x17's. Saving up for a re-gearing to 4.56

If any folks here from Texas (Houston or sourounding areas) that enjoy doing trips and do not mind having a newbie around, would be a pleasure meeting you.

Welcome to the 2-dr club! Nice JK. There are lots of 2-dr Expo Jeep threads on here for inspiration, but you will find space limited. The back seat is the first thing I took out of mine, but I still have to pack carefully. Still, tons of fun and as long as you think like a backpacker when it comes to most gear, you'll have a blast with it.

Sorry I'm not in Texas, but I'm sure there is someone who would be happy to take you out. Check if there are any local clubs as well!

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I’ve come to notice not much room in the 2 dr jk. I usually like going with small items and as you said thinking like a backpacker.
I’ll be moving to California soon and look forward to meeting some folks out that way.
