so I have been lurking on here for quite some time now looking at various vehicles and projects. I have a 2005 Liberty that I am in the process of paying off I still have a couple more years my idea is too completely tear down the Jeep and incorporate it on a full size truck frame chop off the back portion of Liberty and add either a custom made box enclosure or maybe even find an ambulance back and graft the two together so essentially I will keep the four doors of the Liberty I'm currently an OTR truck driver and I don't get much time to do a lot and I know it's gonna take some time before the finished project happens on my home time I've been giving my brother a hand on converting his 86 CJ7 to a diesel with him when I have some down time I'm going to see about mocking something up on SketchUp and posting it on the forums has anybody else you're done such an extreme project as far as graphing two different vehicles together? If anybody has some imput or maybe even an idea or two post up I always look forward to peoples input

So you want to take the unibody Liberty and combine it with a ladder frame from a truck?
Am I getting that right?

That's a hell of a big project.

Yeah that sums it up. It's a huge project for sure. Something out of the ordinary.

Project will be different for sure I think I'd find a wrecked one to chop up though and save yours
You can do a lot with the KJs if you want
As far as the BDS project KJ I got to be at the shop on the day it fired up and drove for the first time, was a wild project

It's a cool thing to do.

Along the same lines we took a 1967 Plymouth Fury station wagon body and stuck it on a 1972 3/4 ton Dodge Power Wagon 4X4 chassis. Made the coolest camping vehicle ever and slept me and my girl very comfortably. How often do you see those old Furys? Much less with 32" tires, ha ha.
A Liberty should a fun project, can't wait to see it.:ylsmoke:
