New Rig -It's Going to be a Long Process

What sort of rear gearing does it have? Fords modulars like to rev for their power. My v10 had 4.30 vs the more common 3.73 and the power difference was profound. The biggest adjustment is letting that motor scream while climbing hills. I drive a diesel for work and the experience is just totally different. 3-4000 rpm vs 1800-2500.

Thanks. I have the 5R110, so I think I actually need the nv273. Thanks again though. My best chance is to pick up a totalled rig and scavenge the works.

No worries. My advice is to go with the 271 since it is manual and way easier to swap in than a 273 which is electronic. Just need to make sure it is for the correct transmission.

I'll have to do some research as I'd much rather have a manual shift as more reliable and would be an easier retrofit.
