Well, I've had a few "expo" rigs now and recently picked up a different one. First build was a cab over cube van that I converted. It was too big, tall, slow, and uncomfortable. Then a 2012 Tacoma, it was a sissy *** pos so I sold it. Bought a sprinter van which is great, but the lack of 4x4 has been a challenge. So.....
That brings us to the brute, a 2004 Ford F-350 super duty diesel. It's a technological catastrophy but it checks a few boxes the previous rigs did not. So, I'm putting it together and having fun building it up. It came to me on a trailer, with bad engine, and had seen a very hard life with extreme abuse and 330K mi. It's running pretty well now, and I'm already thinking about expo features for it.
A smart person would just pull a trailer with it and leave the bed free for tools, gear, firewood, etc. however, I love the idea of a flippac or slide in camper. I don't want too much weight back there, and something that can live on it full time and still allow use as a work rig would be great.
Anyway just wanted to say hi and ask for any inspiration advice.
Here's a before and after from the last month or so.
